White House Officials Say Canadians Immunized With the Oxford-AstraZeneca Vaccine Will be Able to Travel to the United States When New Travel Rules Take Effect in November 2021
White House officials say Canadians immunized with the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine will be able to travel to the United States when new travel rules come into effect in November 2021.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed the decision on Monday, October 11th and say more guidance will be provided as requirements are finalized.
The AstraZeneca vaccine is recognized by the World Health Organization, but not by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Last month in September 2021, White House officials said international travelers would be allowed to visit the U.S. in November 2021 as long as they were fully vaccinated against COVID-19. However, they did not say which vaccines would meet that criteria.
