Campbellton (NB) – The Friends of Healthcare Foundation held its Together for OUR Health Radiothon in partnership with 2 local radio stations, namely 95 CKNB and SOMMET FM.

Thanks to a $ 50,000 surprise donation at the very end of the event from Les Filles De Marie-DeL’Assomption, and an anonymous donation of $ 70,000, the initial goal of $30,000 was reached and even largely exceeded, with a total of $ 145, 196 witch will be used to purchase a monitor and treatment chairs at the Hemodialysis at the St. Joseph Community Centre in Dalhousie and specialized medical equipment for OUR community.

Throughout the Radiothon, listeners could hear health professionals talk about services and special care made possible in the Restigouche Zone thanks to the financial contribution of the Foundation.

To encourage people to make a donation of $25 or more, the Restigouche Automobile Dealers Association sponsored once again two iPads that were randomly drawn at the end of the day. The winners of these amazing prizes were Mr. Donald Haché of St-Arthur and Mr. Jean-Guy and Mme. Micheline Drapeau of Balmoral. Also, several donors won $100 gift cards, courtesy of our local Shoppers Drug Mart(2) Jean Coutu (3), Familiprix, Atlantic Superstore, and Guardian pharmacies. Congratulations to our winners!
