New Brunswick Issues an ‘Urgent’ Plea for Volunteers to Assist in the Province’s Healthcare System

New Brunswick has issued an urgent plea for volunteers to assist the battered healthcare system in the province.

Heath Minister Dorothy Sheppard says they’re asking anyone who can assist with both clinical and non-clinical work to come foreword. While clinical-work includes such things as testing and vaccinations, non-clinical work includes everything from food preparation to administrative work. Some positions would be paid, while others would be unpaid.

The plea comes as over 347 healthcare workers have tested positive for COVID-19 in recent weeks.

Those who are double-vaccinated or boosted against COVID-19 and are interested in volunteering can complete an online form at: www2.gnb.ca/covid-19/COVID-Support-Form
