New Brunswick Decides to Pause the Use of AstraZeneca Vaccine
New Brunswick has decided to pause the use of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine
for first doses.
Yesterday, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Jennifer Russell said the province will still be accepting 13,500 doses of AstraZeneca next week and use it for second doses.
4 cases of the blood clot connected with AstraZeneca, have been confirmed in
the province, The new cases are both in their fifties and developed symptoms
of the blood clot 11 and 19 days after vaccination.
Other provinces such as Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Alberta have made the same decision to stop offering AstraZeneca.
