New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island Say Clinics Will be Open on Friday, November 26th to Begin Delivering COVID-19 Vaccinations to Children

New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island say clinics will open on Friday, November 26th to begin delivering COVID-19 vaccinations to children ages 5 to 11.

The announcements follow the arrival in Atlantic Canada of shipments of the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine that was approved by Health Canada last week.

New Brunswick Health Minister Dorothy Shephard says eligible children will be provided the vaccine at clinics operated by regional health authorities.

In Prince Edward Island, the first of five community-based clinics will open Friday in Summerside, and school-based clinics will open in January 2022 for students in grades 4 – 6.
