Minimum Wage in New Brunswick to Increase to $13.75 Per Hour in 2022

 

 

Minimum wage in New Brunswick is about to take its biggest jump in over 40 years.

 

The Higgs Government announced on Thursday, December 2nd that minimum wage will rise by $1 in April 2022, and by go up another dollar in October 2022.

 

The $2 increase to minimum wage in 2022 represents a 17% hike, the biggest increase in minimum wage in New Brunswick since 1980.

 

New Brunswick currently has the lowest minimum wage in Canada. However, after the $2 boost  was announced, which raises the mark to $13.75 per hour, New Brunswick will be home to the highest minimum wage in Atlantic Canada by this time next year.
