Federal Government Announces Suspension of COVID-19 Vaccine Mandates for Domestic Travel and Federally Regulated Workers
The federal government has announced a suspension of COVID-19 vaccine mandates for domestic and outbound international travelers, as well as federally regulated workers. So those who are on unpaid administrative leave because of their vaccination status will be invited to return to work.
Mask mandates are still in effect on planes, trains ad cruise ships.
The COVID-19 vaccine mandates for travel have been in effect since October 30, 2021. At the time as the mandates were being phased in, travelers had a one-month period which they could instead provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
The new rules are expected to come into effect on Monday, June 20th.
